⻑崎県波佐見町に作った 4 人家族のための家。
目の前は梅林、裏手には森、遠くに山が見える環境の良い立地に計画された住宅です。 ⻘森の住宅で試みた、必要な居室たちを中央の暖気が抜ける廊下でつないだ「ボックスシリ ーズ」の第 2 弾。今回はボックスを雁行させ、ずれた箇所に屋外のスペースを作りました。 四方を緑に囲まれた敷地を生かし、ダイニングルームからは裏の森が、リビングルームから は梅林が、マスターベットルームからは遠くの山々が望める構成にしています。
ゲストが集まる機会が多いため、入り口すぐのダイニングから梅林の見えるリビングルー ムまで、キッチン裏の収納も兼ねたゲスト用の導線を作りました。子供の気配がいつも感じ られるようにリビングルームとダイニングルームは緩やかにつながっています。玄関から ダイニングルームに入ると裏の森の風景が壁に反射して、部屋中が緑の色味で満たされる、 そんな空間になっています。
構造の特徴として、逆梁工法を採用しました。木造の重さを軽減しながらも、室内側に梁や 軸組のラインを見せない事で日本家屋の印象が弱まりスッキリと見せることが出来、チャ レンジして良かった工法です。 また台風圧に耐えるために窓面の木の間柱の両側を挟んだスチールプレートが、機能だけ ではなく窓周りをシンプルに見せる意匠的な役割にも一役買っています。

House for the family of four in the town of Hasami, Nagasaki.
This house is situated in a pleasant neighborhood with plum trees in front, the forest behind it, and mountain views in the distance. It is the second of the “Box series” that we designed with the “House of Aomori.” The main rooms stay connected by a corridor along the center of the house, allowing cool breeze to pass through. Each box is placed alongside each other, while simultaneously creating outdoor space. The layout of the house is planned according to its natural setting, surrounded by foliage in all directions. The dining room, living room, and master bedroom have a view of the forest, the plum trees, and distant mountains, respectively.
Since the owner often has guests, we constructed a path for them from the entrance of the dining room to the living room with a view of the plum trees, which also. In addition, this serves as storage space behind the kitchen. The living room and the dining room are moderately connected so that the presence of children in the living room is constantly felt by the owner couple while they are entertaining guests in the living room. Once we enter the dining room from the entrance hall, the view of the forest behind the house stays reflected on the wall and the entire room fills up with shades of green.
As a structural feature, we adopted the inverted beam method. It reduces the weight of the wood, which clears the lines of the interior beams, and therefore, diminishes the impression of a traditional Japanese-style house. Although, window pillars with steel plates on either side add a sense of simplicity, they also enhance durability against the pressure of typhoons.
